TROSKY - FAMILY BASEBALL HISTORY
Coach Trosky comes from a long history of baseball professionals, all born and bred in the great corn state of Iowa. Four of the family professionals come from the small town of Norway. Norway, known as the baseball capital of the world, has bred more professional baseball players per capita than any other town. Within the family heritage they’re a total of 4 major leaguers and 4 minor leaguers. The most prominent is Grandpa Hal Trosky, one of the greatest Cleveland Indians of all time. Grandpa Hal is recognized as the greatest MLB rookie in the history of baseball. During his rookie stint, he drove in 137 RBI’s, he belted 35 home runs, and batting .333. In 1936, Grandpa Hall was on the cover of Wheaties Cereal for driving in 162 RBI’S, batting .343, and for hitting 42 Home Runs. The Trosky bloodline has done something few families have done - claiming 3 generations to one major league Organization (the Chicago White Sox).

NATE’S MUSIC
Nate’s music and storytelling will bring you back to the Old School, a compilation of his rich heritage of America’s pastime. Nate’s music is acoustic and electric, a unique combination of country, blues, rock, folk, and Americana sound. The lyrics are inspiring, motivating, and a lot fun to listen to, bringing to life the golden era of baseball, the time of DiMaggio, Greenberg, Williams, Ruth, and Feller. His signature song “Born Right on Time” is about the courageous Jackie Robinson, a song that has been utilized by Cooperstown’s Baseball Hall of Fame and by various Major League organizations.
